Anybody played "Alice: The Madness Returns?"

I’m asking because I’m not sure if my problem is because of my hardware entirely, or if it’s partly the interface.

No matter how I adjust the mouse speed, it seems every tiny movement I make is vastly overrepresented in the GUI. I flick my mousing wrist a nanometer this way or that, and suddenly I’m facing the opposite direction. It’s very annoying. (dammit!)

Bad enough there’s no strafing. But with the gameplay like this, there’s no way I’m getting past that Dormouse and his molten metal.

My processor is, like, 2.7. I got two gigs of RAM. Cause I’m broke. Is that the likely suspect?

Do you have any problem like this?

I own it and never had any problems. Doesn’t sound like a memory issue though. Can you set your mouse speed outside the game? I think most brands have some software for programming buttons, speeds, etc. You might even be able to make a separate profile for it.

You can also play the game via controller. See if the speeds are still wonky that way.

I have a computer way beyond its recommended specs, and I found similar problems. All in all, I didn’t enjoy it. It seemed to lack many of the things I liked about the original. It was jumpy, things that looked jump-on-able weren’t, and the control setup necessary to do the dancing required to beat certain enemies seemed clumsy and unnecessarily hard. Since I got it cheap from the Steam Summer Sale, I just gave up and quit about 1/3 of the way through.
