Oooh, was my post count a-missing for awhile there? I know I could use to forget a few of the posts I’ve made, but I don’t like the idea of wiping the slate completely clean. Anyway, whatever the glitch was, the system appears to be over it now.

And, thanks to a Doper, I’m now empowered with a g-mail account. moi does a happy dance

I’ll spot you, Beltbuckle. I got mine from this very thread, and after the first two opportunities (which went to a friend and my brother) I didn’t get any more chances to invite someone for a very long time. Then I found that I actually had to send mail to get invites. :smack:

Seems that supply of invites comfortably exceeds demand. Nice. :slight_smile:

Oh, and to anyone on the fence about Gmail: Do it. One gig of storage is very nice, especially if you are using different machines a lot and can only rely on most of them having an Internet connection. Plus, Google allows you to search and sort emails extremely effectively, making it nearly impossible to lose mail. Finally, the user interface is slick and easy on the eyes.

If Gmail is going beta next month (only four days away), hopefully it will have a less exclusive way to join up. Until then, this thread is a great example of community spirit and simple charity in action.

BTW, how much email do you need to send to get six invites?

I sent about 20 pieces before one (single one) showed up. An hour after I sent that off 5 more arrived.

I was wondering about even one! I’ve been feeling guilty because I haven’t even gotten one invite to help spread the love. I’ll just keep using it and hope that one comes. :frowning:
