There are over 5,000 active e-bay auctions with GMail in the title and almost 12,000 completed auctions. I broke down and bought my account a few weeks ago. At that time there were only a few thousand completed GMail auctions. In the last week there seems to be a new flood of invitations going out.
So what I’m saying is I have no idea how many accounts there are 
, but it looks like they’ve exponentially increased the number of accounts in the past week or so.
