You can start picking now. Everyone else’s choices will be invisable until the first game starts on the 18th. Anyone know when and what that game is? Not the play in game, the actual start time of the first tourney game. We need it posted here because we can change our choices up until 5 minutes before opening tip off of the first game.

One for me. Ok State beat Texas in the Big XII tourney by an embarassing margin, yet it didn’t get them a number one seed because the game hadn’t ended by the time the scheduling committee finalised the brackets. What a crock of shit! But, I don’t know whether to be mad at the Big XII or the Tourney people. I mean, come on! The final result of a major conference wasn’t decided yet, but they just went on anyways!? I’m pretty sure that St Joes might have been bumped by OSU for that #4 #1 seed. Oh well…
This should be fun, though. Only one team in the tourney is sub .500, meaning there just might be a lot more parity than we usually see.

I was surprised that Utah State didn’t get an at-large bid. I mean they were a Top 25 team. Number 22 in both polls. Something’s not right about that.
And about the Big 10 and Big 12 games ending too late and the commitee not having a chance to consider those results, I think the head guy explained it best on CBS(I think he was from Iowa). He said “We take a lot of money to be able to play the final at that time. We should re-examine the situation” or something to that effect. Anyone else remember the quote better?
Utah State really surprised me. I wonder what the descision was based on?
