For March Madness.

NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament

Group # 26611

Group name: Straight Dope

I’m Mr Fabulous this year. I can have a total of 50 in my group.

First come, first serve.

The password is: cecil

The 65/64 play in game is not included. Only the 64. Brackets open Sunday after the release of the list. It will all be spelled out on the site.

Disclaimer: No wagering! And you have to join Yahoo groups. At least it’s free.

(If it gets filled up with junk posts and jerks, I’ll have to close it and reopen a new one and mail out the new password. Please be kind to all who really want to play.)

I’m in.

Yeay! Someone joined!

By the way, I don’t expect OU Sooners to get in. Bad year for them. But OSU (Oklahoma State University - the only real OSU) might get a number one seed if they beat Texas in the Big XII tourney. Either way, the Big XII will be well represented. Will be interesting to see what conf gets the most in. And what bubble teams get the nod.

OU women win the Women’s Big XII tourney!

You can make and change your picks as often as you like, but your final picks must be submitted by five minutes before the first game tips off on Thursday, March 18. Game time TBA.

The feild will be finalized after the last conference tourney game tonight (which begins at 3:00pm CST)

Here are the automatic bids (teams already in) :

Many slots still open!

Join us!

I am there, willing to pit my wiles against you Americans.

Ooh! Cool!

I hadn’t thought about how USA-centric this might be.

I’m in, thanks. I call dibs on last place.

I’m in as well. Thanks, NCB!

I’m in. As USA-centric as this may be, you’ve got at least one Canadian now.

Go Blue Devils!!!

I’m in. The Blue Devils can bite me.

I’m in as well.

What the hell, why not?

count me in

I’m in!

letsplayIwin :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s WINNING time!

I’m in, and this year my wife is getting nowhere near this thread. She was in the top 1/10 of 1% last year on ESPN. I still sting from the humiliation. (She went on instinct alone).

Here’s a NCAA playoff history site:

All of you should grovel and thank me for joining. I suck at this. Way suck.

It doesn’t help that I always pick teams with cool mascots to win. Go Salukis, go!
