Is there a famous food associated with this place?
Is it Coney Island?

Not particularly, although the mention of it will perhaps bring certain foods to mind.
No.
Remember the place is not naturally occurring
Is it a borough you’re looking for?
I looked it up and Coney Island is a neighborhood and an island. Sorry. Nevermind. :smack:
Was it built that games with balls (seems more expansive than “ballgames”) be played there?
Is it a moored structure?
Not an entire borough, no.

Yes.

If you mean in the nautical sense, no.
[18. If yes, is it Yankee Stadium?]
Yankee Stadium is on the mainland, isn’t it, EH?
The place in question is not “on the mainland.”
From what I can tell on a map, the parts of NYC not “on the mainland,” according to my definition above, are Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens.
The Bronx is on the mainland without any separation (hence, Yankee Stadium).
Manhattan is “on the mainland” for purposes of this puzzle because it is an “inland island” separated from the mainland only by “inland waters.”
Likewise, anything in the Hudson, Harlem, or East Rivers would be “on the mainland” because those are “inland waters.”
If I’m wrong, please correct me.
Does it still exist in that capacity?
… but I’m thinking it’s one of these:
Shea Stadium (Queens)
Ebbets Field (Brooklyn)
KeySpan Park (Brooklyn)
It is a baseball park, but not Yankee Stadium.

No.
Your reasoning on what constitutes “the mainland” jibes with mine.
You named the park in your most recent post. Do you want to take credit, or leave the formal identification (and corresponding right to start the next round) to someone else?
Ebbets!
I’ll take it. Yay.
I’m thinking of a PLACE.
Is it a country?
Since we’re only 1 question into this, I’m changing from a PLACE to a notable EVENT.
We haven’t tried an EVENT yet.
Event!
Go!
