The woman attorney as far as I know met Crews as his attorney. There’s obviously some attraction there (more so from her), but as was revealed last week, she’s married.
Crew’s friend/financial manager is an ex-con who Crews met in prison. IIRC he committed a white-collar crime like embezzlement or insider trading or something.
The big dumb cop was on the force with Crews, and seems to have some knowledge of Crew’s set-up, but couldn’t or didn’t do anything about it. He did present Crews a gift in a recent episode though, he managed to “acquire” Crew’s old revolver that he had before going to jail.
I’ve seen all but one of them, and my interest is beginning to wane. I like Crews, and Lewis is compelling, but the writing on Wednesdays episode was borderline atrocious.
Close paraphrase: “We started this case looking for an angel, but we found the devil.” [cue dramatic music] Blech. Who do they think they’re writing for, Horatio Caine? Double Blech.
I’ll give another try or two, but I’m not as hopeful as I was at the start.
Yeah, you could see that line coming a mile away, but I think someone had to say it, didn’t they, considering?
I don’t get why Lena was wearing the wings, since Oliver (?) had already taken the photo of her with them on. Unless Roman made her put them on before he pushed her out the window.
control-z, thanks. So there’s no personal history between Crews and the attorney? She fell hard.
It’s not clear whether there’s any history beyond her becoming his attorney after he was charged with murder. They’re gradually revealing that relationship, so there may be more there. Even if she’d never met him before that, he was in jail for twelve years, and with all the appeals they’d have seen each other a good bit over that time.
I like this show. It’s got some glaring weaknesses, but I really like the chemistry between Crews and Reese, and seeing everybody from Deadwood show up (in addition to those mentioned already, Brent Sexton, who plays the ex-partner, was Harry Manning, and William Sanderson, aka E.B. Farnum, was a guest last week) is delicious.
