Anybody wear colored contact lenses?

I just got a pair of Freshlook Colorblend colored lenses. My problem with them is that the clear part in the center isn’t aligned with my pupils, so that the left 1/3 of the pupil is covered by the colored part of the contact, and the right half of the clear part in the center is positioned over the iris.
I read that sometimes when you blink or move your eyes the colored part can slide over the pupil momentarily, but it’s like that for me ALL THE TIME.
It looks pretty silly and makes it slightly hard to see.

For anyone else who has colored lenses: is this something you’re just supposed to get used to, or are my eyes seriously misshapen?

(I never did get the hang of choosing forums, but seeing how this is pretty mundane and not really a poll or significant question, I’m sticking it here)

Hmmm…I don’t wear the colored ones anymore, but I did in the past. I never had that problem, but I have severe astigmatism and my contacts are carefully fitted and then “weighted” on one side so they can’t move around in my eyes. Only one thing to do - ask your eye doctor about it.

I did briefly mention it to the doc when I was trying them out - he said that they only come in one size and it’s normal for them to be this way, but now that I’ve got them on for more than a minute, I don’t think this is right at all.

Just seeing if anyone else had the same problem. Guess not.

They do NOT come in only one size that’s for sure…
I had to get fitted when I got contact lenses.
I have had this problem a little bit before, but I just shut my eyes, and using my finger (on the OUTSIDE of my eye to avoid eye poking and smudging) moved it a little.
I really have no idea why you’re not getting specifically fitted leneses…
My main problem with coloured contacts is you pay more but the quality is noticably lesser which can drive you insane (mine don’t keep their shpe and so take a LONG time to put in).

I have the same problem. My astigmatism is not so great that I ordinarily require weighted lenses, but it’s enough so that coloured lenses slide around and occasionally cover my pupil.

For this reason, I wear coloured lenses very rarely.

I wore colored lens a few years ago and loved them until my eyes dried out. At that time, they came in small, medium, and large. It sounds like you have the wrong size.

Try the violet ones.

Ssarl and Zoe are right, they absolutely do not come in only one size. Are you sure this guy is a real doctor? Were I you, I’d get my money back and go to someone else. Your eyes are too important to trust to some yahoo.

Another astigmatism contact person checking in.
I have the eye enhanser contacts that look like eyes with only flecks of color and clear in the middle.
I don’t have issues with them sliding around because mine are weighted.
But before the weight settles and adjusts I do. But that only takes a few minutes and alot of watery eyes to get there.
Towards the end of my 12 hour shift they start to move around a bit again but that is because I think I might be wearing them too long in a place that is very dry and cold.
By the time I realise this it is far too late for re-wetting drops.

I would call a few other doctors and get some advice and then take it back to the original doctor.
The big question is are they to actually see with or just for the color?
There was an article in our local paper not too long ago about just getting colored lenses without needing correction and how these doctors or technicians basically just slap them in eyes without proper fitting or care instructions and it has been causing an increase in eye disease.
