Anyone beat my 'no-pullover' record?

Hey I got pulled over for speeding today. I have never been pulled over before, and I have been driving for ten years. Can anyone beat that?

FYI, the police officer gave me a written warning instead of a ticket because he appreciated the kind, cooperative, and respectful manner with which I addressed him.

I got a speeding ticket when I was in college (about 22).

I got a ticket for turning left on a red a couple years ago when I was 42.

Hadn’t been pulled over even for a warning between them.

Just for the record, my mother says I drive like an old woman. If you see
what I drive, you’d know why…

I’ve been driving for 12 years and have never had a speeding ticket or any points on my license. It’s not like I don’t speed on the Motorway, I just seem to be lucky in the not getting caught department. I’m sure they’ll catch me some time.

Yeah I considered myself a ‘smart-speeder’. Limit 65? Peg the cruise control at 74. Need to go faster? Keep your eyes peeled around bridges and turns. I certainly wouldn’t say I have never DESERVED to be pulled over, it just hasn’t happened.

25 years. What does that say about me?

I was pulled over at 18 and at 45 so a gap of 27 years. A friend of mine who both drives a car and rides a motorbike has never been pulled over. He would be up to 35 years.

To my knowlege, the first time my dad got pulled over was in the Golden Meadow speed trap. He was in his early 60s at the time.

My grandmother got her license when she was 17. She got her first speeding ticket when she was 70. My grandfather framed it.

I’m 27 and have never been pulled over. My mom is almost 60 and has never been pulled over. I think she’s going to beat your grandma’s record, Alias, 'cuz I don’t see her getting one any time soon.

I’ve never been pulled over, ever!

(The fact that I don’t have my driver’s license yet (despite being 18, shush) is of no consequence at all. cough)

As a driver, no I’ve never been pulled over (knock on wood). In 10 years, I think that’s okay. I was in the car once when someone was pulled over and I got a ticker for no seatbelt. Funny thing is, I’m pretty militant about seatbelts. I was mad that the driver wasn’t wearing one and told the person I wouldn’t wear one so if they got into an accident I would die too. I know, it’s stupid and childish and I paid for it (luckily not in the accident department), but I was only 17 so I had an excuse for being childish. Other than that, my record is clean.

I’ve been driving for 27 years and have never been pulled over. I got a parking ticket once about 20 years ago.

I have had my driver’s license since 1977 and have never been “pulled over” for speeding. I just never had the “need for speed” that a lot of people seem to have! I remember that some of my friends from high school drove like they thought the laws of physics didn’t apply to them. Driving at very fast speeds just seems really silly and dangerous to me; I always felt that the speed limits were there for a reason!

I’m 41 and have been driving since I was 16. Never had a speeding ticket or been pulled over for speeding. I have been pulled over for expired plates (no ticket) and I had numerous parking tickets when I worked in a town that severely enforced its two-hour-downtown-parking ordinance. But, I wiggled out of a lot of them 'cause I had an in with the city manager!

It’s the little old lady from Pasadena…

I went for about ten years without a ticket.

Then, one morning about two years ago, I was driving on the freeway. I was going a bit fast- but the thing was, I wasn’t going faster than the rest of the traffic… we were ALL speeding (about 10 mph over the limit, downhill). I was the sacrificial goat, I guess.

I was polite. I told the cop that I wasn’t mad at him- he was just doing his job. I was mad at myself- after all, it had been about a decade since my last ticket. I fully expected a warning… imagine my surprise when he gave me a ticket. I mean, come on- ten miles over the limit, going downhill, not speeding in relation to the other vehicles, and a spotless record for ten years- why give me a ticket? I can understand that pulling one random guy over makes everyone else slow down- but why give me a ticket instead of a warning?

I guess he was just trying to meet his quota. I should’ve just taken it to court, instead of doing the online ticket traffic school thingy.

No, I’m not bitter… why do you ask?

I’m at just about 10 years with my license and without a speeding ticket. However, I just got my 3rd parking ticket this morning. :frowning:

I’ve been driving for 24 years and have been pulled over just once in all that time. It was about two years ago. I was let go with a warning.
Never had a parking ticket, either.

Driving for 24 years, never pulled over for speeding. However, I got a ticket for improper lane usage the day after I got my driver’s license - I didn’t turn the wheel back fast enough during a right turn and went up on the curb and hit a tree.

I was pulled over fifteen years ago because my license plate frame partially covered my registration sticker. No ticket.

Then I was pulled over last Monday because a taillight was out. No ticket.

So not as flawless as some o’ y’all, but I still consider that a pretty good record.
