Or do you know of anyone who has? (or who has participated in one of those set ups such as the ones described here?)
My house is on the street view, though nobody’s visible. A friend’s house shot happens to show her son walking down the street after school. I’ve just been wasting a little time “travelling” along Going To The Sun Road and the occasional hiker shows up, resting along the road.
I was biking home from work a year ago, and along came this minivan with a large contraption thing on top. It caught my notice, and I figured that it must be the google pic van. so I waved at it. But it’s been at least a year, and my neighborhood still doesn’t have street view.
My friend’s on Google Street View. But he actually works for Google, so they certainly knew when the van would come by: Start here and go up the street; my friend’s in there somewhere.
A guy I work with was seen pulling away in his truck from in front of his girlfriends house. He can then be seen following the van. We just discovered this about a month ago on a particularly busy day at work. I guess it’s a good thing that he’s not married, with a girlfriend on the side, or this could be one of the most unlikely ways of getting caught.
I’m visible in my front yard, preparing the garden near a rototiller. I’m facing away from the street, so my face is not visible and I didn’t even see the van. My family was both horrified and entertained.
The street I live on, and the building are plainly visible. I think I’ve recognized one of our cars parked on the street as well, but I’ve never been personally “caught”, and I haven’t seen anyone I know. You can see my street here.
Oh, and I think there are a few cat pictures there too.
My friends kids were on it, walking their dogs. We recently got a street view and amazingly, it didn’t catch any of the 3 large trucks that have been stuck on our property…maybe next time.
It’s too early to tell, but my coworkers and I were driving back from lunch last week and the Street View car drove by. I’ll have to watch and see if pics of that intersection show up.
They’re in Montreal these days. I don’t spend a lot of time vacationing in Balconville, but if you see a fag with fire-engine red (or magenta) hair wandering the Village with a somewhat absent socio-democratic expression and cute little rectangular glasses, you’ve probably found me.
My elderly parents in New Zealand looked at their house on StreetView and noticed that their car wasn’t in the garage. They don’t go out much these days so it had them wondering where they were that day.
Then my brother, who lives in the same town, looked up is place of work and there he is standing outside talking to Mum and Dad in their car.
