Snood? I was initiated into this game by some of my residents… during finals week. Bad idea. This game tends to make one a compulsive player, but we can’t figure out why.
I brought it home on my computer over Christmas break. Another bad idea. It’s made my dad a compulsive player. I even registered it so we could play tournaments when I’m at school. AAAAGHHH! Please let me know I’m not alone with my residents on this one!
I kicked my Snood addiction last year. For some reason, my dad decided to completely reinstall everything on my computer (or something like that; I’m not technologicall-savvy), so Snood was deleted. I’ve kept myself from re-downloading it since. Although I was tempted to download it on the family computer while I’m home on Christmas break from college, my younger sister has forbidden it. She claims that she’ll get addicted to it if I download it again.
OMG! My ENTIRE school is addicted to that game! We’re not really supposed to play it on the school computers, but the top members of the Snood underground have addicted a few of the teachers so now we can get away with it.
I thought we were the onlt poeple who knew what Snood was!
I LOVE that game. It is eternally amusing. It also reminds me of the arcade game where you have to basically do the same thing except with bubbles. It’s called bust-a-move, I think. I used to waste so many quarters on that game.
It became the diversion of choice in my hall for a month or so back in early '99. It was only made more amusing when one of my friends (using a Mac) edited the game to use sounds we recorded and pics of our heads. Hilarity ensued.
I actually played Bust-A-Move and its sequels first, but I prefer Snood 'cause it’s quick to start up when you’re feeling bored, and the pieces are a lot less “sticky”… results in more impressive-looking trick shots.
And, of course, there’s that ever-so-useful “Just one more game…” option that makes the addiction seem more harmless than it really is.
Snood is heroin, cocaine, cigarettes, and crystal meth for your computer- all wrapped up into one.
Snood is dangerous.
Snood is the only game that actually has a “Just play one more game” menu option, and it was actually needed so I can sleep, eat and go to the bathroom.
Okay, whoever posted that link, I have just 2 words: You Suck!
Now I am addicted to this little game and am 3 weeks from even remotely being able to cough up the measly $14.95 to get another fix since I’ve pretty much used up my entire “free” games today.
This game is essentially a shareware Bust-A-Move clone. Look for the Bust-A-Move 4 demo: it’s worth downloading, even though it has very few levels. It is also addicting, and you can play against a computer opponent.
Snood also installs GATOR, a form-filler for your browser. Why?
If you un-install Snood, it leaves program fsg.exe in the Snood directory. This program also stays in your registry start-up and accesses the web. Not nice. Is this GATOR or some kind of spyware? Or both?
