I haven’t been able to connect for two hours. The rest of the Web seems to be working fine. DoS attack? My DNS server (actually, I think I eliminated this by trying to ping it, and it did resolve an IP address). Or is it something to do with the Gmail/Googlemail dispute in the UK?
Anyone else having problems?
Nope. Just checked my mail, and had spam, although no actual mail. 11:11 AM EST

My Gmail is fine here, Jjimm. I’ll go and log on to my Gogglemail as opposed to Gmail address and see how that goes.

Still no luck. This is rather irritating. Perhaps it’s my broadband provider (BT).
Have you tried using mail.google.com rather than www.gmail.com? For a while only the former address connected, though both work now.
Gmail is working fine here too.
Just checked - for me, both Gmail and Googlemail are working fine. My ISP is NTL, if that makes any difference. But it shouldn’t be a general UK thing - sorry, I think it’s some special gremlins attacking Jjimm 
Not only Jjimm but me too. Been down for about four hours now. Other Google services appear to be unaffected.
It came back up about five minutes ago. I had tried mail.google.com, gmail.google.com, www.googlemail.com and the IP address, but none worked.
Strange.
Another thought, I am on BT too, nothing else appears to be affected though. Other than YouSendIt, can’t remember my login details anymore.
