Many times lately I’ve gone to gmail both through home and work computers and it’s unavailable. In fact you can count on it “clicking” and not loading about twice a day. Is anybody else having this problem?
I’ve wondered if it’s because of Chrome and Wave and the other new gmail features they’re implementing (all in Beta right now I think).
And yet, like magic - I just tried again and all is well.
Some kind of odd snafu running through the Internet? I saw another thread commenting on problems with Yahoo mail.
It went completely wacky on me earlier today when I was trying to switch from one account to another, saying something about a nonexistent connection and asking if I’d messed with my cookies. When I went to the Google page and clicked on My Account, however, it took me into gmail without any further fuss.
Yes. I’ve found that Gmail reliability has gone down in the last six months or so. More often than previously I find that sending or refreshing takes a long time and I get the “Still Working” notice appearing. It usually gets there eventually. Probably at least once a day my Gmail notifier in Windows reports “Cannot connect” or some such words. It happens both at work and home so I don’t think it’s my connection.
I’ve been getting an error message every time I log in.

I’ve tried everything, but nothing brings gmail chat back. Regular email is working fine, though.
I’ve been having trouble, on and off, for the past couple of weeks also. I’ve seen both the “messed with my cookies” and “some Gmail features have failed to load” errors. At some point, I got a “try connecting to the secure server at https” notice, and that seemed to temporarily fix the problem. I’ve also gotten the extended “still working” notices more often. All of this happens at both home and work.
And yes, I check my email entirely too frequently. Why do you ask?
