The problem I have with the speed is that for better or worse, we’ve been conditioned that large, powerful things move slowly. Like whales, elephants, and zeppelins.
I know that at the heart of it, this is an arbitrary decision, but now it’s so ingrained that the first few movies to ignore that well-established signifier of size are going to suffer from it. To me, in the preview, it looks like a little, misshapen guy is swinging around a tiny, light tank. The physics of getting something so massive moving so fast are so counterintuitive that it looks fake, no matter how real it looks.
