One of my favorite not-so-well-known musicians, is Oscar Brown Jr. His songs have a great beat, and are often very funny. “Dat Dere” is a wonderful song about kids, “The Snake” and “Signfiyin Monkey” are classic story songs. Anyone else a fan?
Never heard of the gentleman. Might look for him on Gnotella one night though.
Me! Me! My late brother had an album with all three of those songs on it. I played it to death as a kid. I got the album when he passed on; I still play it every once in a while.
