I have a current perscription and I’d like a pair of back-up glasses. They don’t have to be anything special. But I have a really high perscription and so I need very lightweight lenses. It seems like there are some good deal online.
I haven’t but I would be concerned about fit and how they are actually going to look on your face. I guess your eye doc could adjust them for you if they didn’t fit well, though. You can also get good deals in some of those mall glasses stores, they often run coupons in newspapers, etc, for half off frames and lenses. I did that and was happy with the result. I also have a very high perscription, for what it’s worth.
Yep. I did, from Frames Direct, and have been very happy with them. I got Ferragamo frames from Lens Crafters a few years back, then wanted to get a second backup pair, and got them from Frames Direct for nearly half the cost.
I picked a similar but not identical frame. It did help that I basically had already tried on the frames, I’m not sure I’d recommend buying completely unknown frames online. If you’re just looking for basically a duplicate set like the one you’ve got, though, you might give them a lookover.
www.eyeglasses.com, I think. I got mine, and though they weren’t all that much cheaper, I’m currently living in a hick farmtown that wouldn’t have the frames that I wanted. I’m glad I did it.
