I’m really interested in a Doper’s eye view of how the event goes off.
I won’t be there, but I’ve found myself watching the DVD set from a couple of years ago, and revisiting The Song Remains the Same and realising just how much LZ shaped my view of music in my formative years.
Mrs Baci was never a fan so her contrasting perspective is also interesting!
If you are going, I have to say I’m jealous and would love to hear the first person view when it’s all wrapped up.
Yep, I’m going. I was one of the first to get a ticket and I’m in the front row. Plus I’ll get to hang out with the band afterwards and maybe jam a little with Mr Page, just for fun.
I’m not going, but I’m really exited to hear how it goes. I’m dying to know what songs they’ll play.
I imagine Black Dog, Thank You, Ramble On, Rock n Roll, Good Times Bad Times…geez I just can’t imagine the electircity in that place when the opening chords of Rock n Roll starts up.
I saw Page & Plant twice when they toured in the 90s, but there’s just something about the label “Led Zeppelin” that will give this show something that that tour didn’t have. Even if Bonzo is only present via his son.
Apparently The Cult’s lead singer Ian Astbury accidentally let slip, during a concert the other day, that there’s a world tour in the offing and The Cult will be supporting, so keep your fingers crossed.
