Anyone have a Sandisk Sansa E200 series MP3 player?

I have one. The screen went out on mine; it looks kind of like it shattered inside. I didn’t drop it, it just happened. Other than that, it works fine, but I’m having some trouble navigating…

I’d like to be able to still use it, but I can’t seem to get to the music. I have the manual, and it says how to do the various things, but never how to get back to the main menu. Can someone tell me what sequence of button presses will get me back to the main menu? I’m especially stuck when I get into the FM radio portion, which I seem to be stuck in(*). From what I remember, even when I could see where I was, it was counter-intuitive to get out.

(*)The only other place I seem to be able to get to is voice recordings, which at this point are recordings of a lot of button pushing, and some guy grumbling in the background.

Pressing the Menu/Power button should get you back to the main menu no matter where you are. I have the e280R, and the main menu is ordered like this if scrolling clockwise: Settings, Voice, Video, Music, Rhapsody Channels, FM Radio, Photo. Let me know if you need more info.

I used to have one of those. I got it specifically because everyone else had an iPod and I wanted to be different. One night, I stepped on it, and it was destroyed. I got an iPod after that.

Thanks OneChance. I think I was pushing the menu button more than once, thinking it would take me out one step, not all the way back to the menu. I can’t remember, though, can I then navigate using the up/down/left/right buttons, or do I need to use the scroll wheel and center button?

I’m looking at my e250. When I am on an FM radio station, pressing the menu button once gets me to the main screen: FM Radio. One push on the down button gets me to Music. Each additional press gets me to Video, Voice, Settings, Photo, and back to Radio. So if you go up from Radio, you get Photo, then settings, etc.

Going to the main radio screen and then scrolling down using the down button 1 place to Music would probably do it. From there, press the middle button, which should take you to Play All.

The options there are, in order:

Play all
Artists
Albums
Songs
Genres
Playlists
My Top Rated
Recordings
Music Options

It would probably be better to use the down/up buttons rather than the scroll wheel to get better control of how many spaces you go. It would be hard to tell using the wheel.
