Trying to set up chromecast for my mother. It set up OK, it says it’s ready to cast and it’s connected to the Belkin router. I can see it in the dhcp clients table on the router pulling an IP.
But no devices can see the chromecast. Called Google and Belkin both, each of course thinks it’s the other’s fault. Has anyone gotten a chromecast to work with a Belkin n-150 router?
For what it’s worth, I’ve been using my Chromecast on my home network without any problems. My router is a Belkin N600 DB and I cast from my laptop, iPhone 4G, and Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. Even though my router is dual-band, all of them are connecting on the 2.4 GHz band.
I’ve had no trouble with the two in my house, through a Linksys router, as well. I’m going to bring a different router over there when I have a chance and see if it makes any difference, because I’m out of ideas otherwise. No one I’ve been able to find online seems to be having this same issue, either.
