Anyone have thoughts good or bad on Peace Industry ATVs?

Hello Everyone,

W are looking at purchasing another ATV for our youngest son. We currently own a Honda Foreman 350 that his brother rides. He won’t be racing, just tiling around the neighborhood (we live in the country). We’ve been searching for used ATVs here, but they’re hard to come by, being sold as soon as their posted for sale.

Since he won’t be doing anything hardcore with the 4 wheeler my wide suggested one of the off brands, specifically one made by Pace industries. A far as I can tell it’s Chinese, a 125cc running about a $1000 new. Searching for reviews online I’m not coming up with much. Are these things junk or decent enough? I realize that they’re not Honda quality, but are they good enough for light of road riding?

Here is any example of one of them:

Thanks!

Since the OP is looking for opinions, let’s move this to IMHO.

I don’t have a cite at hand, but those little ATVs are really dangerous. You’d think something with 3 or 4 wheels would be safer and more stable than a similar-sized motorcycle, but they aren’t. Even at a more or less slow speed, they’re prone to flipping over, sideways or forward and landing on the operator. The kid would be much safer on a motorcycle. I know, you’re thinking my kid would never ride crazy enough to get hurt. Don’t be silly; every kid will try to find the limits of the machine, and he’ll find 'em.
