There was a recently revived thread which she started back in 2006 which reminded me of her once again.
As I recall, when she left the board she was facing several issues: her mother’s illness, her job, her writing, her living accommodations.
Has anyone kept in contact with Eve? How is she doing?
Not really a “General Questions” type of question. I’m curious about the answer myself. Moved to MPSIMS. Gotta get more answers there rather than ATMB.

God, I miss Eve. She hasn’t logged in since 2009, though so faint hope there. I’d try to find a thread about her after that but her username is not very conducive to searching either with the board search engine or google.
I saw on Amazon.com that her most recent publications were in 2007. I hope she’s ok, I wish she were still around here.

I found an interview with her as recently as May 11. Strangely, the site it was on no longer comes up but you can read the Google Cache page minus the photos.
Wikipedia lists a 2009 book.
Her mother died about a year ago. One or two Dopers stay in touch with her, it seems, but I’m not one of them. I did think of Eve recently- I took my girlfriend to The Algonquin a couple of weeks ago, and I met Eve for lunch there in maybe 2005. I think she was the first Doper I met in person.
Begbert hasn’t been on in several months either.
Well, if this thread should find its way to her attention, add me to the list of well-wishers. I made her laugh once; one of my proudest moments on the boards.
Weird that you would bring this up now since I was just thinking like yesterday about if anyone keeps in contact with her. She was a good poster.
I got an email from her a couple of weeks ago. She appeared to be fine (and she still lurks here sometimes).

If we’re listing people we haven’t heard from in a while, I wish we had a good word from Charger. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor two years ago and treatment seemed to be going well, but he hasn’t posted since January 2010 and his last SDMB activity was in November. I may have sent him a private message a few months ago, and I sent him an email tonight. I wasn’t able to find anything about him on the 'net.
I remember that guy. Hope he is doing okay.
Another one: A while back I also noticed that the poster 3acresandatruck stopped posting rather suddenly, which was concerning only because he had posted about having severe cardiac disease. I have no idea how to find out more about him but I hope he’s ok and simply moved on to another part of the internet.

I miss her presence too. I always enjoyed her posts, though we never interacted much. Eve, if you’re lurking, I hope you’re doing fine, and I wish you well!
