This is my first post!! I’ve been reading this board for several years, but never posted. But I do have a couple interesting birthdays.
My second son was born September 11, 2001 at 8:53 am, after the first bombing of the WTC and before the second. I had a planned c-section and the anesthesiologist told me what had happened after the surgery was over. We watched the second bombing in the recovery room. It was a really weird day. Both families were with us, along with my 10 year old son, so that was good in a way. We didn’t have to worry about where anyone was and were together for support. We finally had to turn off the TV because it was too depressing on such a wonderful day.
My first son was born during the first Gulf war, 3/29/91.
I don’t think I’ll have any more children, might be bad luck!!
Yesterday (May 29) was my birthday, shared by JFK, Annete Bening, Melissa Etheridge & – of course – Bob Hope. I was pissed that his 100th sort of overshadowed my birthday, but took comfort in the thought that on my 100th birthday, nobody will be thinking of Bob Hope. Unless, of course, he’s still alive.
Dec. 2 here, pretty boring… and I hate it when people say “You have the same b-day as Britney Spears!”… No, I am older than her, so she took my birthday…
My mom is a groundhog baby (Feb 2) and my brother was born on Easter (April 6, 1969).
I was born on October 10th, which is sometimes Columbus Day.
My mother was born on January 1.
Her mother was born on May 1st, and named Mary (Mae for short).
My father was born on September 6, and when he was younger, his birthday was always the first day of school.
When I was 9, my unborn cousin was due to be born through Caesarean, and my aunt was set to deliver on my birthday, but chose the day after (October 11) so that I wouldn’t have to share my birthday and risk getting “forgotten” in the frenzy of other family members buying gifts for the baby for the next 10 years. How cool is that?
Said aunt proceeded to have three more children via natural birth. They were born (respectively) on May 11th, June 12th, and July 14th.
I know 11 people who were born on February 27th.
My friend Bethany was born on Nov. 5th, Election Day in the US.
My birthday is 7/11 so, people always say, “you were born on the luckiest day of the year”. My mom’s is Christmas, and my Uncle’s is sometimes Thanksgiving (11/24).
I also sometimes have my birthday on Labor Day. This year it does fall on Labor Day. Its a nice way to get your birthday off and not have to ask for it! (09-01-1985)
I was born on 9/11/1981 at around 6 am in Los Angeles ( 9ish in EST).
Exactly 20 years later some bastards flew a plane into the second tower of the World Trade Center. Coincidence?
Certainly.
One year later I decided to go to 6th street (Austin’s Bar and Club street) and drink as many free shots as I could for my 21st birthday. Why? Because free is free and 21 is 21. Although some people think it was inappropriate I say not drinking myself silly is exactly what the bastards would want. They may be able to highjack planes but you can’t highjack my birthday.

-some Christian cult lady predicted the end of the world on 4/19/92 ('91?). Obviously she was wrong. Or was she…

Good day. I spend most of my birthday with one eye on the TV waiting for something to explode. Nothing like the 9/11 people must fell, but still. On the bright side the next day is 4/20, so if in the future I start smoking marijuana I’ll have plenty of people to borrow from at a theoritical party starting on the evening of my birthday.
Hey, me too, 'cept I’m 06/08/1960. The worst thing about such a birthday though was having a lisp as a kid…I couldn’t say my birthday without spitting and spluttering everywhere.
