Anyone identify a parody commercial (SNL maybe) about using classic rock songs to sell appliances

The commercial had to have happened before 1990, so I assume late 70s or sometime in the 80s.

From what I recall it was a parody commercial that was using altered lyrics of songs from bands like the Beatles or the Doors to sell appliances.

I recall some song went something like ‘Range range, electric range’ but I forget what song that was a parody of.

I want to say it was SNL, but it could’ve been a totally different show.

Sold Out Gold Can’t find the video online, but it’s Jon Lovitz as David Crosby hocking an album of sixties hits transformed into commercial jingles. “GE Range” is set to the tune of the Doors’ “People are Strange”.

Thanks for finding that.

I checked online, it was Season 12, episode 17. However I watched the episode on Seeso and they didn’t have the skit. They must have cut it due to licensing reasons.
