Anyone know the origins of Ozzy Osbournes version of "Stayin' Alive"?

I downloaded this off Gnutella, and have no idea when or where it was recorded or released. It came billed as “Ozzy and Dweezil Zappa”, but I’m not sure how Zappa appears.
I’m fairly certain it IS Ozzy though - that voice is pretty unmistakable.

Jeez people, come on! Or is the SDMB no longer the place to go for the REAL “straight dope”? Don’t shake my fait in ya’ll!

Origin: Maybe they heard it by the BeeGees and decided to do a cover?

On a more serious note: I’ve found that around 25% of the recordings available via shareware programs are mis-labeled as to title, artist, or some other “minor” detail. If you can’t find the song listed in a reputable discography of Osbourne’s, it’s probably been incorrectly identified.

I first heard it late-1999 or 2000. It is indisputably Ozzy singing. The only info I’ve been able to find says:

No idea why that didn’t get turned into a link.

on dweezil’s album “confessions” is a cover of “stayin’ alive” with donnie osmond backed up by the “lame white chicks”, it is outstanding!!!.
i have not heard the ozzie version, i would bet it is great!.

I prefer Ozzy’s version of “Born to be Wild,” with Miss Piggy.

A friend of mine (with whom I’ve since lost touch) was one of the engineers on Dwee’s album. I first heard the Ozzy version when he brought home a copy of the master. When the album came out, Donny was doing the vocals, I guess for some contractual, or legal reasons.

It IS pretty bitchin’. “Stayin’ Alive” actually makes a half-decent heavy metal tune. Ozzy hits his trademark wailing high notes on the chorus.
