Anyone know why??

I have been told by several different sources that one should not clean a monitor with windex. Anyone know why? I assume that ammonia has something to do with it, but what I really don’t know? Can anyone help me on this?

I daresay that the guy who asked this question a couple of weeks ago might be able to help. Please check the archives before posting a question.

I did check the archive cleaning monitors and this was my result:

I checked all of these, but to no avail. So although your sarcasm is appreciated, I have done what you asked before I posted. Maybe my search was wrong who knows. I don’t have my “Searching the archive for dummies” book handy.

It wasn’t sarcasm, it was a request. The “archives” I referred to were the threads in this very forum, which you can search with the icon on the upper left of this page. In your case, the keyword I used was “windex,” since it was the rarest word that seemed to fit.

All I’m seeking to do is reduce the clutter in this forum so that it’s contributors can have the best, cleanest customer experience possible.

Ever heard of Endust for electronics?? You can use it for any electronics. eg:radio, cd player,t.v., and yes…even computer moniters!!! hopee i’ve beem of some help…though i’m not sure why windex doesn’t work…
