I picked this back up again after a brief break. I have the Normandy and am tooling around doing missions. I love the dialog and the realistic looking dudes, but I am having a hell of a time getting over, what I consider to be, poorly executed combat.
It looks like a shooter but it isn’t, which is fine because that’s how KOTOR was too, but I don’t seem to be effective when it comes to managing multiple MOBs no matter what I do. I desperately want a patch or something that will let us pause the fight to issue individual commands ala KOTOR. I hate holding the bumpers while I assess the situation. You can’t really control your squad mates to an acceptable degree, but I may just not understand the controls though. I want to be able to tell Saurus to attack MOB A, my guy to attack MOB B and my other party member to go over to the other side of the room and attack MOBs over there.
I feel like I am missing something with the controls that is keeping me from enjoying the combat in this game. How do I effectively manage these battles? When the MOBs cast biotics on me like push or throw or whatever it renders me useless without even being able to hit the bumpers to assess the situation. I just sit there and get shot repeatedly until I die.
Anyone else having these problems? Advice?
