It was a 2 hour affair (being Holloween and all) and the first hour bored me to tears. I literally nodded off. However, in the second half, after this kooky medium named Callahan did his trance act, one of the judges Criss Angel tored into him. Hard to tell how much of this was an act, but since it was live, maybe it wasn’t. In any case, my respect for Angel jumped several quantum levels after this. He even challenged Uri Geller and Callahan to predict what was inside some cards that he held up in his hand. Of course, Callahan yelled back and went at Angel. They had to break for commercial. It was great theater. Other than that, the show had tired mentalist acts that I’ve seen before. Geller did one of those lame self-working tricks.
I didn’t make it to the second hour – I lost interest before the chick finished her act.
Two hours? I enjoyed last week’s episode for the point-and-laugh aspect, but I wouldn’t make it through two hours of it. I’ll watch it later on the computer while I’m playing Civ IV or something. It’s Must See (it in the background) TV.
I had it on in the background, but had to re-wind the DVR to see what that was all about. Callahan’s “trance state” was laughable, and the entire thing looked like a bad carnival stunt, complete with gruesome facial gestures and body contortions.
The only thing that would have saved him was telling Angel what was in the envelope and taking the $1 mil bet… however, that would’ve required real talent and ability. I had high hopes for this show but it is just plain awful.
I didn’t know Chris was going to be on. I saw some silly basic trick with the planets names and I saw it was a number trick before it was even over, and yet the people on the show were so ‘amazed’ by his power that I just had to change the channel.
Now if they would only let Penn and Teller on to be judges.
not sure if this is “protected” content, but there is a statement about it belonging to the magician…
I also turned it off after the stupid planet jazz. LAME!
Did they mention any results from last week?
Most of the stunts were not impressive. The one trick I really liked was the chick and the knife.
I saw it. I’m not sure if the bit with the envelope was staged or not.
If that one judge was any more stereotypically gay, he would literally be flaming.

Why did they have a segment on this? Fox’s Masked Magician revealed how the trick was done years ago.
That was really bad! I’m happy I don’t have cable.
