Anyone still watching Surface? Anyone?

Did Nim really heal him? I’ve missed a couple of eps, but I remember from the first couple that if you got attacked and lived you healed really quick. Remember the black guy who got attacked when they were drilling the dead animal? I figured it was more of the same.

Still watching, still enjoying. I like most of the characters, not despite their flaws but because of them; Daughtery’s dry idiocy is nicely countered by Connelly’s paranoid lunacy, for example, and either woud be lost without the other.

I was under the impression that when the creatures bit, the bitten would get “infected”, causing what I can only guess will be attributed to DNA changing overnight. Classic stuff.

I miss the “black guy”, Dr. Singh (Shishir Kurup) and his …oriental counterpart, Dr. Cirko (surprised to see Rade Serbedzia there). Also, the phrase “Drilling a dead Animal” tickles me mightily, for some reason or other.

I’m with you on all counts! SURFACE is my Monday guilty pleasure. And Nimrod is the reason to watch! He’s not dangerous. He’s just misunderstood.
I think there are only 3 episodes left, though. So they should be wrapping this up. Any guesses about how they’re going to either exterminate the beasts or turn their powers to the Good Side?

Me too! Go lava lizards!

Makes you wonder again what happened to the crew of the sub in the first episode.

Actually, I have a sneaking suspicion that this is going to be resolved where the kid turns into a lizard and learns how to communicate with the big ones, somehow becoming an ambassador from humanity or something.

Please please let him turn into a lizard so that I don’t have to see his slack-jawed Monchichi face any longer. I hates Miles. I hates him!

You’re right I may be jumping the gun on that one. I say that because Miles’ sister actually commented that she thought Nim had healed him. Nim was hanging around Miles’ bite wound as if he was doing something to it. Even if he didn’t physically heal Miles, it’s still possible that the psychic connection they seem to have helped bring Miles back since he awoke from the dead at the exact time Nim was supposedly killed and he knew something had happened to him.
Technically, I think Dr. Singh is considered a brown guy, not black. :stuck_out_tongue: I was kind of hoping that Dr. Singh may show up again. Perhaps he woke up later in the morgue and walked away?

I suspect he’ll be somewhat lizardified by the end of the season, unless they find a magical cure to bring him back, which I wouldn’t put past them at this point, since they’s pretty much gone way into sci-fi terroritory.
