White male, 39 – Very, very, very, very guilty.
What is this, a court of law? I of course meant “reasonable”.
The Browns and the Goldmans were true innocents and they seem to have a very hard time getting on with their lives, FWIW. Of course, it doesn’t help that the man who murdered their children/siblings can’t just thank the gods that he escaped justice and keep a low profile.
Whoops…sorry. Feel free to disregard my input.
White female, 40. I believe he’s guilty.
Black, Hispanic female. Guilty as all get out.
Hey, we’re talking legal terms here so you still qualify under “reasonable doubt”.
I was referring to innocent people who are sentenced for crimes they didn’t commit, but yes…I agree that the Browns and Goldmans are permanently scarred, not only by the brutal deaths of their loved ones, but by the system, as well. I worked with a girl whose sister was a real estate agent. She was lured to an empty house and murdered. My friend never recovered. I don’t think it’s really possible.
OJ’s a putz and a sociopath. Maybe this time his luck has run out.
Black, female, 47. Guilty.
Female, 27, white with a splash of other, and I think he’s absolutely, 100% guilty.
This came up in a bar recently when I was talking to a friend (black, 30) of mine. She thinks he’s guilty, too.
I also think the LAPD are guilty of trying to frame him.
Yeah, me too. They were the worst thing to come out of that trial. Remember all the other guilty people they had to let out after the trial? Imagine how many innocent people got to go to jail because of their stupidity and bigotry?
How do you frame someone for a crime that they did, in fact, commit?
Male, Caucasian, 31, he did it.
Is this a serious question? You plant and/or interfere with evidence. Whether or not the framed party actually committed the crime is irrelevant to the question. Richard III wasn’t actually a hunchbacked evil mastermind, per Shakespeare; doesn’t mean he didn’t actually have the Princes in the Tower murdered.
Please note that I am in no way equating Court TV with the The Bard.
White male 45. Guilty.
I think you’re giving them too much credit. I think their regrets are caused by the fact that they’re widely perceived as idiots who got bamboozled and made the wrong call.
White female, 33, guilty.
White male, 37, guilty.
I think the judge and prosecution did a piss poor job in defining for the jury what “beyond a reasonable doubt” really meant and allowed the defense to twist it into their definition.
I was living in Korea when the trials took place so we didn’t hear that much about it. I don’t know enough about the case to have an informed opinion. If pressed I would say I think he did it, but it’s probably because people I know (who know more about the case than I do and are for the most part intelligent and rational people) think that way.
Korean-American female, 25.
White, Male, 68.
Guilty, the DNA cinched it for me, along w/ strong circumstantial evidence. Furman and Clark profiting from this pisses me off almost as much as the verdict. They are both morally and professionally incompetent.
I can understand the possibility of jury nullification based on past circumstances of white juries actions, but I think O.J. was a poor choice for any racial message. O.J. was, socially, as white as I am, seems to still be for that matter.
Based on his numerous brushes w/ the law since his aquital I think O.J. is a very stupid man who allows his emotions to rule his behavior. That’s what explains his killing of Nicole and the Goldman kid as well as his latest fiasco.
52 year old white woman. Guilty.
Not to hijack your thread or anything, but I’d be interested to know if anyone thought he was innocent after the criminal trial, but has since changed their mind. FWIW, I suspected he was guilty after hearing his lawyer read his bizarre “suicide note.”
But another twelve people in a second trial concluded, based on the evidence they were presented with, that he was in fact a killer.
I believe that the case was mis-handled, through carelessness and through deliberate action, from the police up to the prosecutors. The difference between this case and some nobody on trial is that OJ had a defense team sharp enough to nail them on everything they screwed up.
White male, 35. I don’t believe the prosecution made a sufficient case for a jury to reasonably find him guilty, but I do believe he killed Ron and Nicole.
