Anyone think OJ is not a killer?

I think I’m 26, I know I’m a white male. I think he’s guilty, but with style.

Also, I probably wouldn’t have posted here except to say, lorene is 39?! She sure didn’t look it.

Of course he’s guilty. What does my age gender or ethnicity have to do with it?

For the record, Larry Borgia is a nine hundred year old native of the planet Saturn, who’s sex is too difficult to pronounce in the human language.

37, white, female. Guilty, because who the hell else could have done it? The nature of the murders rules out murder/suicide. A stranger would have robbed the house and probably raped Nicole (or Ron). I don’t know who those South American drug dealers were supposed to be. And why else would he have been running for the border?

Anyone have a really good, reasonably unbiased site which runs through all the major purported evidence against him? I read the Wikipedia article but wasn’t impressed.

Oh, and put me down on the guilty side-well 99% certainty at least.

White female, 29. Guilty as all fucking hell.

You ARE sweet, baby.
Yup, I’m old enough to be your mother, if I had started really, really young.

White male. 55. He’s guilty.

No, I don’t think the police tried to frame him. In fact I think it was the other way around—it was the police who were framed.

Someone connected to the police force wanted OJ to get off or had a grudge against the police and planted the blood. After all, how did the defense know to test the blood for preservative?

25, white, male, loved the Bills in the early 90’s.

Didn’t know there was ever any real question of whether he did it (obviosuly he did), just whether he should have been -found- guilty or not.

I fit into that category. I am white and 31, so I was still white  and 19 when OJ was acquitted. I was rooting for him all of the way and I believed that he was railroaded, not necessarily by a racist police department, but a too-powerful police department arrogant in themselves.

First, the night of the murders, Vannater, Lange, Fuhrman, and the other guy, practically fell over themselves stating that at that point, O.J. wasn’t a suspect at all. Vannater even told Shapiro that HE (Shapiro) was as much as a suspect as O.J. My thoughts: BULLSHIT!

That was a ruse to make an unlawful entry on to O.J.'s property looking for evidence. It shocked me as a free citizen that the police could violate your privacy like that. It also introduced me to the concept that the police lie like dogs, and it made me question other things that were going on.

And here is Mark Fuhrman, Mr. Senior Detective on tape talking about nigger this and nigger that. I don’t care that he lied about saying “the n-word”. Most white people have said that word from time to time, but would lie the same way if asked in public.

What bothered me was Fuhrman talking ON and ON, RECORDED no less, about beating niggers until they talked, messing with interracial couples, and committing perjury and planting evidence if necessary.

This is a man who is in charge of a homicide investigation. It all pointed to reasonable doubt to me.

Johnny Cochoran had me fired up and ready to lead a revolt against the LAPD.

Two years later, my emotions had died down and I realized how silly it would have been for so many scenarios and conspiracies to come into play for OJ to be actually innocent. And in the civil trial, they introduced more pieces of evidence…

It’s true.

White, female, age 48 (today, by the way)

Absofuckinglutely guilty on all counts. I believed he was guilty then and he continues to reinforce that opinion every day.

Malay, male, 34

Guilty but the Fuhrman tape where he talked about beating up black suspects made me root for the defense just for spite. Hey, I wasn’t on the jury.

By the way, I was in London when the jury came back with the verdict. To be precise, I was waiting for the Tube at King’ Cross and they actually announced the verdict over the speakers! The platform was crowded with people waiting to go home but other than me, no one else gave a shit. Or maybe they were just being British.

Because there was a huge difference between white and black opinion on his guilt at the time of his trial and acquittal. An ABC News poll published in late September 1995, only days before the verdict, found that 77 percent of whites thought Simpson was guilty, and 72 percent of blacks thought he was innocent.

TV coverage of groups of viewers watching the verdict showed black audiences, again and again, breaking into applause and yelling in delight when Simpson was acquitted. I was absolutely disgusted. If they were making some statement about the injustice of the system, maybe they should pick someone who is, you know, not guilty?

Happy Birthday, Ruby!

I’m a white male, 39.
He’s guilty. O.J. killed them, and probably enjoyed it.

However, I think he was set up in the Vegas armed-robbery case.

What I heard, (sorry, no cites; too long ago) was that Cochran et al discovered through focus groups that black women were not so much mad at people like Simpson, but much more mad at hot white women for “stealing their men.” So they attempted to pick as many POed black women as possible.

It’s funny how much effort OJ has put into the search for the real killers. Oh, that’s NONE. He has NEVER looked for the real killers, despite his immediate pledge. Oh, and that real killer would need the motivation, opportunity, and means to kill his ex-wife and her friend. And have his blood type. And never leave a single clue that was even mentioned by OJ’s crack defense team. Even they couldn’t come up with another suggestion for the killer.

That’s quite a combo. But a jury said he’s acquitted, so yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhh, he’s innocent.

Motive does not have to be proved, only intent.

Yeah I actually remember hearing that too. Because white women were taking all the ‘good’ men, ie the ones who were successful in life. I just think it’s sad that it turned into a matter of race and not about whether or not he was guilty. The sad thing is that if he had been found guilty, there probably would have been a good chance of riots.

Female, white, 45 years old. Guilty.

I’m sorry, I don’t mean to hi-jack this thread, but for years white people have been saying that this particular case really pissed the off because it was a miscarriage of justice. Yet we have all the people admitting that the prosecution did not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt and that the cops may have planted evidence. Where was all this when the verdict came out? I don’t see how anyone who believes this can be mad that he was found not guilty. That’s the way it is supposed to work. Finding somebody guilty because you “think” they “probably” did it is a miscarriage of justice.

This case pissed many white people off because a black guy murdered a white women. I don’t see white people pissed about Phil Spector (who will probably get off). Instead of insinuating “non-whites” are stupid for thinking OJ didn’t do it, we should probably examine why so many people know for sure that he did do it.

*Black male, 25, thinks he’s guilty.
