Anyone watching LAX? (spoilers, unboxed)

I’ve seen the first two eps, and so far so good. I really like Heather Locklear and have since Melrose Place (she was the only reason to watch that show after a while). She plays a that “bitch with a soft marshmellow center” role quite well. Blair Underwood is a sight for sore eyes. Both HL and BU are playing what they do best, what I’ve seen them do in multiple roles before, but I still find it fun to watch.

Last week, I loved how Harley Random (best. name. ever.) stopped the Serbs’ plane from taking off. This week, we have Hawk Man telling her that his hawk would mate with her if she were a hawk. Where do they get this stuff? Yet, it’s cool at the same time. Not *The West Wing * great, or The Sopranos great, but still I enjoy that hour of TV.

So, is anyone else watching? What do you think? Is it doing well in the ratings?

If I recall correctly, it got a savage panning from my local newspaper, so I just flipped to it to listen to “Mr. Blue Sky.”

I’ve watched both episodes.
Was the one cop drinking before, or has he been unnerved by the bomb from last week? And was that a girl in the picture he found on his car?

I didn’t like how the one guy got the baseball kids on the planes. Getting two or three on a bunch of different flights? Seems a little irresponsible. Who’s going to be there to meet them, and make sure they all get where they’re going?

I knew the guy in the coffin was a drug mule when he kept grabbing his stomach, although I was thinking cocaine rather than heroin.
One nitpick - they don’t ship bodies in caskets like that. Bodies go in metal containers that are strapped shut, and caskets go in their original packaging, if they are shipped at all. If a body is to be shipped somewhere else for burial, the receiving funeral home usually supplies the casket. Those things are very heavy, and it’s unlikely that one would be shipped.
They also don’t go into the regular cargo area - bodies are off-loaded and taken to a separate receiving area for the funeral home to pick up.
My husband works for a funeral home doing just that (picking up bodies at the airport), so he was able to tell me this.

This thread seems to be officially kicked, but I thought I’d answer Bibliocat’s post anyway.

The cop has been drinking since the beginning. He mentioned airport duty as a demotion, which was probably for screwing up while drunk, as he did in the last ep. I liked how they represented his drunken state with the camera work. That was a nice touch.

The picture was of the guy in the green army jacket who allegedly planted the fake bomb from the first ep. The note said something like, “it wasn’t my bomb.”

I hate to tell you, but kids fly alone all the time. It’s a fairly common practice. I’d never let my kids do it, but there it is.
