Like it? Issues? Watch band recommendations?
I’m thinking of doing it basically just to have one less thing to carry around (and I really need to replace my ancient big-ass second generation iPod).

This is the first thing that I thought of when I read the title:

It’s a huge hit at kickstarter.
wouldn’t it be nostalgic if Siri were on the Nano and made calls?
Just buy an Omega and hum out loud brah… Much classier.
I was actually thinking of doing this myself.
We can be watch buddies!
Wouldn’t it be kind of a pain in the ass to have a wire running from your wrist to your ear? I think I’d end up getting tangled up in things as I moved my hands around.
S–yes, that’s one of the issues I was hoping to hear about. One solution seems to be to run the cord through a shirt when working out and a jacket when out and about.
I Imagine a elasticized band would be possible, so that you can wear it on your wrist when you’re not listening to music, but then move it up to your arm when you want to listen to music. No idea if such a product exists or not.
Or you know, you could just go watchless and use your phone like so many people do these days.
OK, I bought this yesterday. I got a silver nano and a Hex stainless steel watch band. It fits extremely well and looks freaking awesome (I thought it might look big and geeky like the old calculator watches, but it doesn’t at all IMHO).
I connected up some earphones and then put on a jacket and it was like freaking magic–no need to worry about the wire at all, it just automatically traveled up my arm and to my ears by virtue of the jacket on-putting process. I’m going to love this for walking to/from work in jacket/coat weather. At the gym I plan to try the same thing with a gym shirt–if the wire is weird then I can just easily unclip the nano from the watch and clip it to my shorts or shirt.
So, one less thing to carry around. Pretty awesome. I can’t wait until the nano can do everything the iPhone can do, but I’m still happy with what it does now. I got a new watch and a new iPod for about $200, can’t really beat that.
The iPhone doesn’t have a Mickey Mouse clock face.
iPod Nano 1, iPhone zero…
So embed the iPod in a headband instead. Maybe a helmet with built-in earphones.
