I know it’s kinda against the title of the thread, but one thing Biden shouldn’t do is push Sotomayor to step down. There’s no way the GOP would allow him to nominate someone new. Why give them that gift? It’s a deeply stupid idea.
Theoretically, if Sotomayor were to step down immediately, Biden could nominate her replacement and he/she could be confirmed by the current Democratic majority in the Senate during the lame duck session. But I have no faith in the Democrats being able to actually pull this off.

Biden could give Ukraine permission to strike military targets inside Russia with ATACMS. I would suggest limiting it to a short list of US approved targets.
Russia is planning massive strikes on Ukraine’s energy grid with winter approaching. Reducing that long-range bombing capacity seems reasonable. It would have a strategic effect for at least much of 2025.
That’s similar to Biden’s handling of Israel striking Iran.
How are they gonna stop him? The Dems currently control the Senate.
