AOC says Superbowl ad is "fascist"

What things? Tweets?

Those mistakes are piling up.

As was observed earlier by another poster, overblown accusations of fascism dilute the meaning of the term. If you’re not concerned about that hindering attempts to call out bad behavior and overshadowing what actual victims of fascism have endured, you should be.

You’re still not saying anything related to this thread. AOC’s Tweet is not an overblown accusation of fascism.

Lotsa people make mistakes. Few admit to them.

What would lead you to believe that I am not concerned about that? My response to your overblown hyperbolic “sarcasm” was in fact to point out that you were making overblown accusations of fascism.

The fact that you were apparently mocking a strawman of your own imagination doesn’t diminish that.

My concern is to prevent future victims of fascism. If you are not concerned about that, then you should be.

If you choose to wait until people are being herded into concentration camps before you recognize what is going on around you, it’ll be far too late.

Yeah, I guess. Stream of consciousness sharing of every thought that pops into someone’s head. Maybe Trump ruined the idea of Twitter for me forever. (maybe I’m just old and grumpy)

I’ll repeat, though, I am a fan of AOC.

…except that isn’t how AOC uses Twitter. Its a very deliberate, important and effective part of her messaging. It how she directly communicates with her constituents and supporters. And its one of the many reasons why she is so good at what she does. There are few politicians who have been able to leverage social media as effectively as she has. That’s a positive thing, not a negative one.
