Being honest, I am so frustrated right now. Aspenglow is so awesome at this and I feel that there is some sort of miscommunication between us or something. Honestly, the only reason I even bring her up in this was that that warning was done by TPTB and so upper management is talking about me. The only issue I have is the inconsistencies about the board but again, I feel she was more of the go between between me and upper management, which is why middle management is a horrible job.
Look, I clearly stated you’re not on a list and not close to being banned. You’re not even close to a suspension.
So please follow this advice.
I can’t emphasize this enough, we do strongly encourage flagging problematic posts. It is very helpful most of the time. Only 2 posters have been asked to flag less.
This almost never comes up, but please don’t argue the decision. I mean a quick clarification will more often than not get an answer, but not all do. Sometimes we’re busy with either Board stuff or you know that pesky IRL thing. I’m trying to state this carefully. Hopefully no misunderstandings come from it.

The mods here are great. Perhaps the best I have ever seen on a message board (I really mean that, not sucking up…and this includes before the current set).
I have argued with them as well. I’ve never won any of those arguments (and I thought I had some good ones). I wonder if infallibility is part of the mod training?
Maybe don’t flag at the first instance of a perceived “infraction.” (That can, of course, vary…some things need immediate action. Use good judgement is all I suggest.)
What is this “PIP” of what you speak ?
Probably “Performance Improvement Plan” which is a management tool to leash an employee. You either follow the plan exactly or you get fired for cause.
There is a delay in my response to you because I have a life and am currently juggling 2 workmen who are here to perform tasks for me today.
You implied that I and another mod (@What_Exit) have a personal vendetta against you. That’s untrue. You also said you received a “non-response.” That is also untrue. In reality, I carefully explained to you exactly why you were warned in a private message. Several times. We exchanged 11 back-and-forths.
ETA: You seem to feel that when you don’t get an answer you like, then you haven’t gotten an answer. This is substantially the same behavior for which you received the Warning. I encourage you to consider that maybe the problem is yours, not that of the moderation staff here or other posters.

And @Saint_Cad , if i can give you a piece of advise, “let it go”. You got moderated on that thread because you made a comment, and didn’t like the (lack of) reply, and basically repeated the comment 4 more times. And it was an aggressive comment that the OP made clear around post 3 that he wa5nt interested in. (When someone else asked a similar question.)
Then you argued moderation with Aspenglow for far longer than could possibly be helpful.
Now you’ve brought your complaint here, and the general feedback should give you a sense that you might, just possibly, be hanging onto this to an unhelpful extreme.

The non-response was directly to when I asked why others get a note to nip a problem in the bud and I was given time to build up to a warning. I can’t find your message in my list for the exact quote but it was something to the effect of that mods do not have to give notes to users before a warning. That is what I’m calling a non-response because you didn’t say how what I was doing was different than other users that do IMO similar things and get a friendly reminder.

yep - they do a lot of work for us and then put up with all this.
don’t see how you could be any more clear. and the PIP thing? this is not a business, these mods are volunteers. FFS, if they kindly tell you they are getting annoyed STEP BACK.

I accept that and when Aspenglow suggested I bring it here to ATMB I said I didn’t want to since I didn’t want to call out a great mod in public. The only reason I dragged it in here was because the way her respnses were coupled with the next day what I got from What_Exit, I have to question if the mods (the whole crew, not just those two) are trying to get rid of me. Like when your boss starts writing you up for everything like clocking in 2 minutes late.
I know I’m not popular here and if I came here complaining a mod said, “You’re a fucking asshole.” outside of the Pit, 99% of the replies would be, “Well you are a fucking asshole. They’re right, you’re wrong. Live with it.” I’m making this thread so that when I’m banned you’ll know I saw it coming as y’all add on “Good riddance.”
I’m pretty sure you have been told by mods in this thread, more than once, that you are currently nowhere near being banned.
But you seem headstrong in working towards that ban.

I am not always the best at this but I have found walking away (even in a figurative sense) is a good thing. Come back some hours later to post. Let the heat of the moment pass. Get some clarity.

Huh? Say what now? Speaking for myself, if a mod posted an insult like that in a thread about their actions as a mod, I would immediately start a thread in the appropriate forum demanding that they apologize or step down. My honest feeling is that most Dopers would do the same. The rules are the rules for every poster, regardless of our feelings about other posters.
I mean, if you insist, we could put you on the watch list.
I’m going to ask you a version of what you asked in that thread: what are you hoping to get out of this complaint? Just an “i told you so” if you ever do get banned?
Also, since you brought it up, I’d like to clarify
It’s not that the mods “cannot” address every one-off mention of Trump. It’s that we live in a world where Trump can touch an awful lot of aspects of our lives. He’s top of mind for a lot of posters. There are going to be a lot of one-off comments about him, in the threads where people routinely drop one-off comments. (Which is most of my forums.) We don’t think it’s appropriate to forbid them. We will, however, moderate if a side discussion about Trump threatens to derail an unrelated conversation.
I also wonder if it might help if I point out that where you referenced (above) me telling you to read my other posts (plural), that isn’t what I said. Here’s the quote:

Hey–I’m not trying to be mean here–but is something else going on that’s stressing you out? This response seems disproportionate, and you may benefit from stepping away from the thread a bit and waiting to come back to it. You may decide that, even though you disagree, it’s not important enough to continue the argument over.
I ask because the level of irritability I think I’m reading in your posts is the kind I show when there’s something else going on in my life that’s stressful.
