Are batteries diff in other countries?

I want to send my little aussie cousins an american toy but was wondering if they’d be able to buy refill batteries (AA) over there.

I did try a search but I came up with 84 pages and I’m feeling a little lazy.

AAs are probably the most universal batteries there is.

Yup, we got 'em.

Aussie here.

Australian Batteries
1.5V batteries:
AAA, AA, C, D.

9V (that square one, whatever it’s called).

If by AA, you mean the second smallest cylindrical one (penlite), then it’s a safe bet. Most of our electric/electronic toys are imported anyway. I think it’s a global standard for batteries.

I’d send the toy.

Thanks guys.
