On another board they refer to that as mantle as in “mantle of invisibility” when your comments or suggestions are completely ignored by later posters. I was only thinking of this yesterday myself so no, you are not alone don’t ask.

don’t ask, I know how you feel, both on message boards and in real life. I used to be referred to as Mr. Deeds’ butler, because apparently I tended to appear out of nowhere (apparently they couldn’t figure out it was just them being oblivious to me). Annoying, ain’t it? snugs don’t ask Oh well, know that i love you…hey, wait a min, where’d you go? 
Yeah, I get the same thing all the time too. I take the time to come up with a great post, full of humour and wit and stuff, and it just gets overlooked. If people would just acknowledge how brilliant I am, I think it would be better for everyone concerned.
This is one of my pet peeves. I post something, and then someone comes along and says the same dang thing as if my post was invisible. Grrrrr
I think I have a partial explanation for this - I use Mozilla in tabbed mode, and often open a few interesting looking threads at a time. While I am reading the first ones, the other threads get replies that I don’t see in the version of the page that I may have had open for some time. If I reply to one of those threads, but don’t scroll down to the Topic Review section, I don’t see the replies that I am duplicating until the page reloads after I submit. Same thing happens if I take some time composing my reply.

I didn’t bother to read any of the previos responses, (why should I?), so I have no idea what you might be talking about for the last 30 something posts. Whoever posted this is certainly not on my list of people who’s posts I respond to, so he obviously has nothing important to say. I bet he sucks goat cock. I see this phenomenon too. Sometimes it’s simulposting, and sometimes everyone chuckles at what you say, they just don’t always let you know that. If you feel you really need to be heard, start some shit in the pit. I’m serious, you’ll probably be verbally gang-raped, but by then you’ve established yourself, without any physical sodomy!
