Around 6 pm today, I posted a new thread about a crazy guy who was sitting beside me in the computer lab. I can’t remember the thread name, but I thought I posted it to the Pit. I used a phrase along the lines of “tiny camels who pilot hot air balloons” or something like that. I didn’t find the thread in the pit, so I looked in MPSIMS, didn’t find it there, so I searched for it (using the word camel), and didn’t find it in search, either.
I’m pretty sure no such thread currently exists. Unless you were using one of your many sock puppets. I searched on just Homer, and nothing came up that was anything like what you describe. You have my permission (whatever good that might do you) to simply try again.
DAMN. That is SO odd. I KNOW I posted it! I posted to the BBQ pit about some crazy guy who was talking to himself beside me. It was called ‘Attention all crazy people.’ or some such nonsense.
Well, heck, I recently had a problem with my insanely huge “Enterprise vs. Star Destroyer” thread. I had gotten the standard “Someone replied to your thread” E-mail, and it SHOULD have been bumped to the top of the IMHO page, but 'twasn’t there! I even went three or four pages back. Do threads go invisible after getting too big or obnoxious or something?
SPOOFE:
Very Vaguely Creepy’s doing the same thing. It won’t come to the top of the list when somebody posts. It’s on page 2, headed toward 3, even though it has 10+ posts after the one shown on the “last post by – at --” on the summary page. Admins? Jerry the Tech Guy? Whazzzup?
