I started this new thread in the Pit . . . and then when I go back to the Pit to look for it, it’s not there . . . unless I go to the bottom of the page and hit “Forum Jump” again and select “BBQ Pit,” then the thread shows on the first page.
Aye, there seems to be some sort of cache problem going on.
I started a ATMB thread a couple of weeks ago about a problem I was having and I saw that monavis started a thread this morning about a cache/page loading problem as well.
The hamsters are frikkin’ tired.
What’s more, I had to call up the ATMB page twice to see this thread again.
And see this CS thread – it is now up to two pages, but, if you initially look in the first CS page, you will see this thread listed as having only one response.
I’m seeing the same problem. Threads I posted in earlier today are just gone.
I posted in a thread, but it didn’t show up on my subscribed treads list (even when I clicked “show all threads”). I went to check if I had accidentally unsubscribed, and when I clicked on thread tools it showed that I was already subscribed.
Definitely some error tracking boards updates or something.
Yes, it seems to be recalling 5:30 PM or so yesterday for me about half the time I open a subforum.
Noticed this just now: If I want to respond to a post, and click “QUOTE,” a reply-box opens but the quoted text does not appear – unless I backbutton and do it again.
I’m getting this too. Just now, I refreshed the main forum page to see if there was anything new, and all the threads showed up as being last updated about 24 hours ago.
There’s another thread about the same issue.
Guys… I’m scared…
OK, gang, let’s split up!
My PC and my phone have both settled on the idea that my last visit was on Monday at 4:26 PM, and that the most recent post was about an hour later.
I find myself having to Ctrl+F5 several times in order to disabuse it of this notion, at which point it momentarily manages to convince itself that I last visited right freaking now.
Get well soon, hamsters.
Nah, it’s just the caretaker, Mr Zotti, wearing a fluorescent rubber mask, trying to scare off the subscribers so he can close the Straight Dope and sell it off to developers …
