Are Ritz Crackers suddenly more salty?

…or is it just me?

I haven’t noticed it. Just ate some crackers from a relatively new box o’ Ritz last week.

I’m finding that all crackers seem less salty these days, so maybe it’s just you, or have you been eating other brands and just tried Ritz again after a long time away? Or has the man been buying low sodium crackers?

They are seriously salty lately. I thought I was the only one noticing. I can’t eat them alone anymore.

There are now original and “Hint of Salt” versions of Ritz crackers. By any chance are you switching between the two?

Did you get some of the “special shapes” ones? They come out with these seasonal ones, shaped like Christmas Trees or footballs or orangutans or whatever the holiday season is and I’ve always found they taste different. Not sure if it’s saltier or what, but definitely different.

The seasonal ones are greasier.

Sit down here beside me and I’ll eat one with you.

Mmmm… count me in too! I’ll bring the fancy cheese. I prefer Manchego; how about y’all?

I like mine with salami, so I’ll bring that. =)

My son mentioned this to me last night, which I had already noticed a week before without comment. They are now inedible. As he discovered later that night during an extended toilet visit.

They are greasy, salty and nasty. I buy a box every week. Now it occurs to me that household consumption has dropped over the last 6 weeks and some always remain on the shelf. I’m not buying them anymore.

Well, it’s really odd, I think. I will have to start buying the reduced sodium version, if there is one.

Good cracka! Good cracka!
