It depends IMHO on what is the reason she is quite, sometimes she is quite because she has something that ‘holds her back’ from expressing herself. If you can get past that, basically free her to be comfortable and secure in herself in bed wonderful things can happen.
I take it you’ve never been married to someone who suffered from severe depressive personality disorder and was refusing to take her meds. Or, alternatively, someone who converted to evangelical Christianity as a teenager and has heard nothing but “sex is evil” up to the minute they get married. I’m not 100% sure those are strictly personality types, but they’re guarantees you won’t be getting an adventuresome partner. I’ve known a few couples who fell into the latter category who never got over their problems after years of therapy. Most of them just stopped having sex entirely because one (and sometimes both!) of the partners could never get over the “sex is evil” mantra that had been drilled into their heads.
I dated a girl in college who was quiet as a church mouse, very timid, and modest. Once the lights went out she was insatiable.
