Are there any 9/11 jokes

A lot of these jokes aren’t bad, but most of them don’t deal directly with the actual destruction of the World Trade Center. The “110 stories in 10 seconds” one I’d consider somewhat offensive. The “Superman in a wheelchair” one is somewhat offensive only in reference to Christopher Reeve. But, as Ace309 said, that one’s a formula joke. You can replace the WTC attacks with almost any disaster.

Anybody know of any jokes about the Air India crash off Scotland?

Anyhoo…

The only Christopher Reeve joke I know is this:
What is the opposite of Christopher Reeve?

Christopher Walken

Egyptian-born Aussie stand-up comedian Akmal Saleh (sp?) had a good one. He started his act with an acknowledgement that, yes, he was an Arab, and he’d like to apologise for all the terrible things done by Arabs in the past, and all the terrible things that would be done by them in the future…uh, next Wednesday, in fact…

Well, you asked:

What do you think was going through the head of a guy on the 90th floor when the WTC collapsed?

The 91st floor

And don’t give me any shit. I worked in One Liberty Plaza.

The best joke from that time, while not directly about 9/11, was from, of all places, SNL. Rudy Giuliani was the host maybe a week or two after the attacks, and a member of the cast asked him if it was alright for the show to be funny again. Rudy paused for a minute, and said “Why start now?”

I’d be interested to know how/why you find this one somewhat offensive. The reason being I find it the ‘opposite of offensive’. You see I read it as saying Christer Reeve IS superman (or a super man), and that the character he has shown since his accident is such that you could almost believe without his injury he could have stopped the disaster.

Umm, terrible, but I saw something on the internet where they showed all the people running from the WTC and played the Benny Hill theme song in the background. It was so wrong…yet…funny in a sick, very sick way.
