is there a difference with regards to muscle size, strength, stamina, speed, speed of growth, etc when comparing a high volume training regimen (many sets of 8-15 reps, multiple exercises per bodypart) vs a high intensity regimen (one exercise per body part with one set consisting of regular reps followed by drop sets and assisted reps totaling 15-30 reps total)?
due to time constraints and my busy tv viewing schedule I’d rather do the high intensity workout. but are the outcomes the same?
im more concerned with strength training than endurance training for the purposes of this thread.
Not exactly the comparison you are asking for though, with dropped sets and assisted reps. It also must be noted that one set of a wide enough variety of compound lifts will functionally give each muscle group several sets of stimulation albeit from slightly different angles and combinations.
