If we did something so monumentally stupid that, if anyone else did it, we’d Pit them. Or would that go in MPSIMS?

Haven’t done anything worthy of a self-Pitting, just never seen it in the Pit.
It’s happened bunches of times. I don’t know how to search for it (you can’t search for self in a thread title apparently), but even as a casual peruser I’ve seen it.
“self” and “myself” are stop words for the search engine , apparently, so you can’t search for them directly. Through the magic of Google, however, I was able to find numerous self-pittings:

MannyL (again)
…etc…
Preferably that sort of thing would go in your private blog. If you open up a Pit Thread, it may not turn out the way you’d prefer.
If you want sympathy, put it in MPSIMS.
If you want people to not only tell you you’re an idiot, but explain in detail exactly how you’re even more of a horrible excuse for a human being than you originally thought, put it in the Pit.

From the Pit Rules:
“Self-pittings” that are mainly due to self-pity or seeking commiseration are generally not appropriate for the Pit, but should go in MPSIMS.
Note that some of the self-pittings linked to above are either apologies, or also include rants about things other than the OP. mookieblaylock’s was the sort of thing that is not appropriate for the Pit, and so was locked.

That’s the story of my life. Guys don’t start fights over stuff I say in bars, they just giggle.
