I quickly looked over the rules and didn’t see anything prohibiting it, but I’ve also never seen it done (or never noticed), so I don’t know if it’s against the written or unwritten rules.

Yes, you’re allowed. You have to ask the mods first, but with rare exceptions we’ll say yes to this kind of request.
