ok, it is inevitable (in my opinion) for their to be massive levels of civil unrest and lawlessness in the middle east once Arafat is officially pronounced dead and a successor must be named. With this being said and the fight for Falluja seemingly only days, if not hours, away; does this lead you to believe that perhaps the end of the world is approaching rather quckly? Personally I don’t think it would really play out like that, but I think that our world is going to become much more violent and dangerous in the upcoming years.
I hope not. I have a ton of things on my “To do before I die list” including teen triplet models.
Another thing you could tie into that would be: If the EOTW really was foretold and God goes through with it, does Bush still get blamed?
As for the OP,I doubt that a power struggle within the terrorists will be the end of the world, though I guess it could be a pre-cursor.
The OP might want to explain in a little more detail how ‘massive levels of civil unrest and lawlessness in the Middle East’ in his/her view results in the end of the world, which I presume means at least the extinction of man as a species. ‘Cause afraid I’m just not seein’ it.
(Re: is it the end of the world?)
Egad! I hope not! That’s where I keep all my stuff.
I wouldn’t be surprised one iota if George was identified by name as one of the signs of the Apocalypse. “And lo, the Bush of the global village idiot shall return to his throne, and drive the entire planet into destruction by hellfire by his own ham-fisted ineptitude.”
Well, sure. If he were a dictator. Are you willing to go that far? I see a bunch of people around him that are smart, capable and, well, have access to more info than you.
Either way, as long as he gets the red horse.
If these people had access to info, how do you explain… nevermind.
Kabong is right. Same-old same-old trouble in the Middle East isn’t a sign of anything.
Are you telling us something about the President?
And you’re one of his supporters!
THERE’S FIGHTING IN THE MIDDLE EAST??!??!!!
When did this start?
Oh 1000 years ago. Whew.
The world has always been a dangerous place. You must have just turned on the news for the first time.
I’m not sure but I feel fine.
When you think about it, we are closer every day.
Are we close?
We’re standing on it right now. (or sitting, etc…)
Well, it is the end of the Earth, after all? Keep going up and there’s no more earth.
Seriously, where has the OP been for the last ten years? There have been so many doomsday predictions that the only constant is that everyone is convinced that they are right.
Replace the word “ten” with “thousand” for better perspective. This is called “millennialism” for a reason.
The stars are not yet right, so we can’t be close.
Why would this create such an uproar in the Middle East? I can see problems in Israel/Palestine, but why anywhere else?
I’d say we’re about 5 billion years away, maybe a little less.

Your posting reminded me of this joke:
An astronomer had just concluded a lecture about the “End of the Universe”.
A worried elderly woman in the audience asked a question:
“When did you say the Universe would come to an end”?
Astronomer: In Sixty Billion years.
Elderly Woman: Oh thank God !! I thought you said *fifty *billion !!!
Tasteless Warning  I cannot play this at work because it filtered as “tasteless” by WebSense
Here is one view of The End of the World.
