I’m in. This will totally help me at work.
Some people in my office do a Secret Santa, but with 5 days of gifts. I work in an office with (honest description available on request) too many people who get into the Secret Santa. It’s 5-10 emails a day about it from Thanksgiving to Christmas. One of my secretaries harshes me every year about not participating.
NOW, I can say, “No, thanks, I’m already doing a Secret Santa thingie.”
Whistlepig, who since the age of 14 has wanted nothing more for Christmas than to be a Jewish orphan. Unless I get to spend Christmas with my godkids.
Sign me up for this. Last year’s Secret Santa was great.
Last year we got to specify if an X-rated present would be ok or not. I really don’t know if I want anything G-rated.

I’d have to side with Civil Defense on this one…supposedly, isn’t EVERYONE not supposed to be giving our their address? That definitely kinda sucks. 
As a general rule, IIRC, it’s frowned upon and quickly covered if someone posts their address, but sending/emailing it to someone is your right.
I ran two moderately successful rounds of a white elephant exchange with not one peep from the Administration, both fairly high profile (IMO) and both involving a large number of Dopers (59 & 103, all told.) The people that wanted in emailed thier info to me, I sent it only to the person who was [sub]almost entirely[/sub] randomly selected to send them stuff. Based on this, and the fact that we had a great Secret Santa last year, I’m guessing that trading info, off the Board, is fine and dandy.
Or I could be wrong.
Yeah, exactly, thinksnow. People would email their addresses to me–none would be posted on the board.
So… the reasoning for excluding under 18’s is…what again?
