WTF are you talking about? A city’s police department can’t move itself to a suburb or rural areas. Here in America the police departments that are paid by the city will work in that city. If they try to patrol rural towns instead of their own beats they will get their asses fired. Are you thinking that police departments are independent entities that go transfer themselves from one area to the other?

I get my information from all sources—I don’t live in echo chambers. CNN, MSNBC, BBC, Fox News, local news, The Guardian, The Sun, etc
A lot of cops feel that left-leaning Twitter users mocking dead cops like the ones that died in Texas yesterday is a major turn off.
The only group defending police right now are white Americans, especially Republicans.

I’m a Democrat and I have made sure my police know that I support them, that I vote in all city elections and I vote in favor of taxes/bonds that support community policing. Every time I have contact with them I thank them and tell them what I think they did especially well. The few times an officer didn’t I communicated that to a supervisor and how it could be improved. Always well and sincerely received.
They support and protect me quite adequately because of citizen communication and involvement and not only on the part of Republicans.
You have people like former NYPD commissioner Bernard Kerik on Fox News and people like his boss, former mayor Rudy Giuliani who are saying those things.
Police are right leaning, not all of them, but there are right-leaning cops, especially in Texas and New York.
So it shouldn’t be that hard for you to supply somes links saying that. But Giuliani is at least 3/4 senile, and a die-hard Trump supporter, so his opinion on this is hardly relevant.

The point is to cow democrats into fearing the police because they are armed and are more likely to vote for Trump, especially now since they’ve been receiving so much criticism from the left.
It’s the standard not so subtle authoritarian threat from the right – “Nice property/family you got there. Be a shame if no-one came when you called 911 from your blue district.”
The real tragedy is that she didn’t know that she can block people from posting on her Twitter feed or thread or whatever it’s called.

This is why most police officers and unions are voting GOP this year----police and military should not be political whatsoever, however they are.
A lot of the people on the far left are saying abolition of police, so why be surprised when they are no police presence in Democratic areas?
