Are you feeling enough shame and guilt, you bad women?

Sorry, all of the woman I know won’t have sex with a man whose anti-abortion.

Things I never wanted to know…

Having observed the birth of my two I can testify to it being an exhausting experience. I’ve also held hands on two occasions with women undergoing the process of aborting a pregnancy and that was no walk in the park, either. Hopefully it will always be an available option.

ETA: “just watched”? I took Lamaze classes, practiced, coached, etc. It was a drop in the bucket, but it wasn’t easy.

I think you missed his best quote:

Disgusting.

HAW HAW HAW. Jack Chick himself would be proud.

< blush >

Awww, thanks! And I’d like a little cheese and crackers with his whine. Serve it up!

That’d work too. Us lady folk will hop to the preparations.

And Fallen, not only are those two damn fine posts, but I heartily agree. If men could get pregnant, having an abortion would be a right codified by the constitution, available in a vending machine and handed down by God via the Ten Commandments. Yes siree, I have no doubt.

We call them hoagies around here.

He’s not the first conservative lately to suggest that giving women the vote was a bad idea. He won’t be the last, either.

Just call me Dagwood.

I don’t think the majority of women feel bad about having gotten an abortion. Maybe about having become pregnant when they didn’t want to, but not about the abortion itself.

Yesssss. That’s why I found Bricker’s heartwarming anecdote so hollow. Not because it wasn’t wonderful, but because it’s so frigging rare. Just how many people would step up and take care of those babies after they are here. Surely, even in Jesus’ time, such things as abortions happened. Yet it seemed to be a focus of His ministry to help those in need that we’re already alive, facing hardships, etc. Nothing about harassing (like that really happens, amirite?) women seeking to terminate their pregnancies for the “greater common good.” Go donate your time, money and passion to the born.

Excellent policy.

Damn. Dude is mental, at the very least. Thanks for adding that to the pile. Apparently, the compendium wouldn’t be complete without him making a fool out of himself on every subject.

And sadly, I do not think fearless internet protector of uterus’ holiness, Hector, isn’t going to show up to this gathering in his honor. Which is a, let me think…

What word am I looking for?

Anyone??

Oh, wait, I think I’ve got it…

A complete and total fricking SHAME. Who’d a thunk it? He’s closer to the women he despises than he realizes. Poor little man. :frowning:

But they’re fun to take to the dance! Who else would we get to amuse ourselves over at the punch bowl, except the wallflowers?

When you’re making far more sense then Hector is . . . oy vey.

Seriously. That is the solution here. Don’t have sex with someone who does not agree with you on abortion.

More accurately, just the ones who disagree with him.

I endorse this pitting myself. Very well done.

And I’m very pro-choice, ladies…

And he’s a great kisser.

:hesitantly raises hand:

Um…is there something inherently disgusting about supporting labor over incarceration for offenses against society?

Asking for a friend.

Aww, thanks:o

You weren’t so bad yourself. I think Ed Zotti’s still surprised by my grabbing his crotch.

See Kim Jong-un.

I have nothing against those that are incarcerated to provide productive work. Provided that it is something reasonable and produces a product.

Digging ditches and filling them in again… not so much.

Well, if the so-called “offense against society” is refusing to go through labor, yeah, there is.

:stuck_out_tongue:

ETA: In which case, BTW, incarceration is ALSO inherently disgusting.

There is no outrage expressed in this story over the ‘harsh punishment’. The point of the story is that the sentence was one of the harshest ones laid down for such things. The only outrage is the one invented in your head. Heck, Christianity Today is one of the most moderate publications in the Evangelical realm & not one given to dismissing religious extremism.

Then they need to fire the editor who wrote the headline. It’s inflammatory and inaccurate.
