I haven’t had a problem playing with strangers, probably for the reasons Munch stated in post #55, and usually end up adding them as friends. I now have a ridiculously large list of friends, many who haven’t played for over a year.
ETA: Well, it seems that the game is still down for maintenance, but after I downloaded the patch and ran it, the graphic indicates that the game that I’m waiting 2 minutes to play is “Reaper of Souls”. So maybe I’m wrong about the patch and the expansion being different, because it doesn’t look like an ad. IDK.
The patch and the expansion are different. The expansion will give you access to:
The Crusader class
Levels 61-70
New crafting materials
The Mystic crafting NPC for enchanting items
Adventure Mode
Various other small things, like gambling, a new passive slot, a new stash tab, 3 new passive skills per class, etc.
I’m liking the expansion, so I probably will buy the R0S expansion. My question is "Is there any reason to $20 more to get the Digital Deluxe Edition?
I don’t need more than 2 more slots (I think I have 2 open anyway, and I’m certainly not going to make more than 2 Crusaders).
If the extra stuff makes you more powerful, then that’s crap that people can pay $20 for an in game boost. If it doesn’t, then what’s the point? If it’s just aesthetics, then I don’t care about that.
I will get the expansion, but I doubt that I will get the $20 expansion bonus stuff. I think I did see somewhere that you can pay the $20 difference if you want it later.
I heard about the extra character slots for the deluxe edition. I don’t know how effective the spectral hound will be, or if it’s just cosmetic. I can’t imagine it’ll be all that helpful apart from looking cool. I’m going to pass - I never get those deluxe editions.
